I love paper… I always have. I love writing, sketching, making lists & scheduling events. At the beginning of each new year I try to start fresh with new journals/sketchbooks, stationary, notepads & calendars (for obvious reasons). There’s something about jotting down a quick note to Kevin (or a family member, friend or client) on cute stationary or brainstorming new ideas in my journal that make my heart so happy!
Hi! It’s Wednesday… already, can you believe it? Happy Leap Year (day)!!! It’s been a pretty busy week over here! We are preparing to finally open up our e-shop, doing a few lil diy projects and picking out new paint colors for our bedroom. (What can I say, I love to change things). I’ve got TONS in the works that I just can’t wait to tell you about! In the meantime… It’s all about Ikat today!

When I was a child, I was really into art. That never really changed. I always had glue, scissors, tape, makers, a ruler and paints around. I loved letting my creativity shine.
Pinterest= The New Inspiration File Remember one of my first blogs on inspiration and how to keep it? I joined this little site called Pinterest before it became big. The problem= I never did anything with it and I forgot I joined it until it became “the thing”.

Lately we have been lavished with summer weather here in Sarasota… it has been in the upper 80’s for about 2 weeks now. All we can think about is cooling down and planning light summer meals & snacks…
I love pattern… mod, traditional & eclectic. I love styling a space with great pattern, but my latest love is the chevron pattern.
If you follow me on twitter, Tuesday night I mentioned that I started a new book that evening and I couldn’t put it down {which happens to be what occurs anytime I pick up a book}.
