How Our E-Design Packages Work:
You may be asking how we can help you redesign your property without seeing it?
The amazing advances in technology over the last decade have made things possible that we wouldn’t have dreamed of years ago. To allow A Design Story to accurately understand your budget, your space, your needs and the look you want to achieve, we will ask you to complete a client questionnaire, provide us with a rough sketch with room measurements and to send us to digital photographs of the room. The amount of information we will ask of you will depend purely upon the service you purchased, for example if we are only providing a Color Consultation we won’t need room measurements etc.

How did A Design Story begin?
I (Lindsay) saw an overwhelming need for a service that could provide design on a budget by completing a room-at-a-time. Previously, I was freelancing, during which I had the opportunity to meet many clients who desired and appreciated the work of Interior Designers but had a limited budget, time frame, or the “know how” to execute the design of their spaces themselves.
How do you get to know each client if you’ve never met them?
Here at A Design Story, we like hearing every detail of your needs, your wants and everything in between. The more information you send, the better we get to understand your style, budget and your design dilemma. In addition to your completed design questionnaire, measurements and photos, we welcome including inspiration pictures you found online or in a magazine and photos of other spaces in your home to help us achieve a look that will unify with the design of your home. So basically, more is better!!
Communication is key… how much communication is there between you and the client during the design process?
Once we receive the information we require after you purchase the design package that’s right for your home, we want to make sure we are clear and understand all of your goals, budgetary constraints and likes before we begin the design process. After we feel confident we have all of the information we need to you design a new story for your interior, the chapter begins! You may get a few “fun” updates while the design is being formed.
What if I prefer to incorporate some of my existing furniture in the new design?
We design with you in mind! We will do our very best to incorporate a client’s favorite things. Make sure you make the information known on the section of the questionnaire that asks “what must stay” and “what must go”!
How do I purchase a design package and when should i submit payment? Do you accept any refunds?
Visit the “E-Design” tab at the top of our site to see the design packages we provide. You can purchase the packages safely and securely right on “E-Design”. We will begin the process as soon as payment is received. Please note: No refunds will be permitted. If you have any questions regarding the package that is right for you, please contact me for help!!
When will I receive my design?
A typical design project (a re-decorate package or color consultation) takes about a week to two weeks to complete. For those of you who purchase a Full Design package, completion takes about two to four weeks. We do our best to finish every design in a fair time limit; however, we never want to hurry a design, we want to be as thorough and accurate as possible. We will keep you informed mid-way through our process to keep you in the “loop”!
What if i have questions about my design after i’ve received it, will someone help answer any questions I may have?
If you have questions about your design, please let us know. We want you to be very happy, and we will always do our best to help you fully understand everything we’ve created. Don’t hesitate to follow up with any questions or concerns you have!
Will you continue to work with a Design Story client after they’ve received their “new story”?
The answer to that is please! We would love to assist our existing clients out with additional design help. We’re elated to help you make unify your space with more of our design expertise!
