Gracious Giveaway: You’re A Gem

This week is our First Blogiversary and the Gracious Giveaway will make a little gem out of you! I am blessed and elated to host a giveaway for Erica Sara Designs this week. I am really excited about showcasing her collection…

Erica’s website is like pure eye candy and it makes me want to shop until I virtually drop! Her jewelry designs are fresh, modern and beautiful. She actually began designing jewelry when we she was a young girl and her passion steadily increased as she became an adult. {I always love stories like that because my passion for art and design started when I was a very little girl}.

All grown up and with experience in both business and fashion, Erica was inspired to design a jewelry line that is both affordable and beautiful. This is how Erica Sara Designs was born and where she offers some of the most unique and stylish pieces available. Her jewelry is both intriguing and gorgeous…

I showcased her love necklace on our Valentine Gift Idea Post, but I have SO many other favorites as well…

Her collection consists of necklaces, earrings, bracelets gold, silver, gemstones, Hebrew designs, personalized a few limited editions and more!

Each piece is like a little work of art all wrapped up in love & talent. Who wouldn’t cherish a beautiful piece of jewelry stamped with love? In addition to being such a fabulous jewelry designer, Erica is truly sweet and absolutely genuine. She actually offered to send me my very own Erica Sara Necklace… The Jeannie

Which happens to be the exact necklace one of my readers will get too! That’s right, this week’s lucky winner is getting blessed with their very own Jeannie Necklace from Erica Sara Designs.

P.S. Love Erica already? Visit her blog and get more eye candy & inspiration.

So here’s how you can enter for a chance to put this bracelet on your wrist (or win it for your wife or friend)…

– Prize:  The Jeannie Necklace: Genuine Amethyst & Garnet Semi Precious Gemstones valued @ $50

– To Enter: Comment “I am a true gem” and tell us… what your passion was growing up and if you continued it.

– Bonus Entry… Want another entry? “Like” Erica Sara Designs on Facebook! Click here.  Want yet another chance? Come and “Like” A Design Story on Facebook by clicking here. Add this information to your comment!

– Giveaway Closes: Friday, February 11th at 12pm EST

– Number of Winners: One Blessed Winner!

– Prize Ships: All over the U.S.

I am a true gem. My passion growing up was singing and acting. If I could have a costume and be on stage I was happy. I am still singing, with not too many costumes, but I am still singing. 😀

My mom would say I am a true gem 🙂 Growing up I wanted to be a hair dresser…and crazy 80’s hair pretty much explains my passion in a nutshell, hehe (who didn’t love teasing, crimping & bangs in the 80s?)! Let’s just say it’s a blessing to many that I am not a hairdresser today! Instead, I am following my more “grown-up” dream of being a bargainista!
I really enjoyed the other ladies’ stories…wonderful idea for a giveaway Lindsay!

I am a true gem because I have followed my passion in life! I never believed I’d turn my love of makeup into a career, but that’s just what happened. Sometimes, it takes a little push from someone who loves and believes in you to be your catalyst, and that was my husband, Bill’s role. He encouraged me to turn my passion for makeup artistry into a career with Bobbi Brown. I had voraciously followed Bobbi’s career as a star makeup artist, clipping magazine articles and taping TV segments when she was on dispensing advice, but when she debuted her lipsticks at Bergdorf Goodman and the line expanded, I knew I had “drank the Koolaid”. I applied for a job at a department store Bobbi Brown counter, went to NYC to be trained, and even met Bobbi! I had to pinch myself a couple of times to remind myself that I was awake….and on a path to doing what I was meant to do: make women feel prettier and more confident!

I am a true gem! My passion was always travel and politics. Really! When I was a little girl I would always dream of the places I’d go someday when I had the money because my family was poor. Well, now I work in international development and I’ve been to six countries this year alone. It’s been a great adventure!

I am a true gem! One of my most favorite passions is baseball. Even though I am a true girly girl I love it and watch it on TV and go to the games in Tampa every chance I get. I grew up with two brothers and we always watched and played baseball together (along with collecting baseball cards). It was one of the only things that we all had in common. My older brother was in a car accident when he was 16 and left this earth way too early. So my passion for baseball is also a sweet memory of him and something we enjoyed together. 🙂

    “I am a true gem.” My passion growing up was the appreciation of beautiful women. (I know that might sound shallow to some, but, hey, I can’t help it.) And, yes, I continued it until this very day–and, I’m sure, beyond. Come to think of it, beautiful women are like gems. They sparkle like diamonds, and are as mesmerizing as rubies, sapphires, and emeralds. Now, Lindsay says: Visit [Erica’s] blog and get more eye candy & inspiration. Again, two references that can apply to beautiful women–”eye candy” and inspiration. Beautiful women are certainly inspiring. (Don’t blame me, blame Lindsay.) Not that there’s anything wrong with “non-beautiful” women. Some of my best friends are “non-beautiful” women. {smile} {smile} {wink}
