Don’t you love when you stumble across something that just fits what you had been looking for so perfectly? Yeah, me too!
First things first, I happened to be in the Goodwill last week looking for a few things to revamp for my niece and nephews rooms and I stumbled upon 2 items that were just perfect for my own home! One for them, two for me…. You know you play that game too sometimes.
Anyways… I found a simple jar canister which happens to be quite perfect for my tea addition {I mentioned my new favorite in the monthly favorites this go around}. At $2.99, it had to make it home with me!
I have been on the hunt for new lamps for awhile now, I wanted one the was light, airy and maybe even glass to fit our beachy/modern décor. I hit the jackpot. I found this glass lamp for $7.99 in perfect, brand new condition. I made sure it still worked and it went right in the cart…
In addition to scoring those 2 fab deals at Goodwill, I stopped into Target to look at lampshades and found this medium drum shade at only $4.98. Yes, please. I haven’t decided whether or not to recover the stripe with a ribbon or not… still too early to decide! I can also fill the lamp for Christmas with ornaments and sparkles!!
Last {but not least}, I mentioned on Twitter yesterday that I had a photoshoot scheduled for today. I modeled for a photographer in town for pictures for a salon. {I have never modeled in my life by the way}. We actually did the shoot at one of my favorite places, Sarasota Architectural Salvage {you might remember it from this post, the window shopping post and nautical to vintage}. During the shoot, I spied a touch of turqouise and that was all it took! I found a fabulous square wooden tray, which happens to be perfect for my coffee table. I adore it and at only $10, the price was right!

I love these new additions and am still on the hunt for the perfect dresser to revamp for out tv to sit on…

Love that tray… it would also look cute in a bathroom with a candle, accessories and some makeup!

Sarah~ Thanks! Yeah, it would look really cute on a bathroom counter. They had blue, yellow and a black too… but everyone knows it had to be turqouise for me! For me, finding things like this are a luck of the draw… in thrift stores and local shops where items are not mass produced, it’s always a hit or miss!
