Fall is the perfect season to cozy up your home and turn it into an autumn oasis. It’s the time of year when your home should feel warm and inviting…
Incorporating warm and colorful elements into your space for the fall doesn’t have to be expensive or time consuming. If you are crafty, you can diy a few fall decorations or you can use items you already have in creative ways!
I decorated for fall a few weeks ago, but I have been warming up our space in new ways. We live in a predominately “cool colored” home as our accent colors are aqua, turquoise & white {paired with tan, brown and silver}. Since our home is beachy and we live near the beach in Florida, I find it hard to get into the fall spirit since we don’t have the change in season outdoors. So, I have been thinking of news ways to introduce that warm and cozy feeling for fall…
Here are 6 quick, easy & inexpensive ideas to warm up your home and ‘fall into style’… {pun totally intended}
1. Hang a festive wreath on the inside of your door {not just the outside} so you can appreciate the beauty of the season… I have my “M” leaf wreath hanging on the interior garage door {which sits in between our living room and kitchen.
2. Create a centerpiece using candles, cinnamon sticks, twine and a ceramic tray.
3. Add some seasonal art to the mix. Frame a leaf or take black & white photos of trees & branches and add it to your gallery wall, fireplace, shelf ledge or buffet table for the season…
4. Knit pillows can create a toasty touch! If you can sew, take some old sweaters and create your own cable knit pillow…
5. Texture = cozy… Fill a wooden bowl with colorful balls of yarn for an easy coffee table centerpiece.
6. Pull out those throw blankets {crochet, wool fauz fur blankets are the best} and place them on chairs or sofas for extra warmth.
