Home Office Inspiration

 If you’re like us, your home is constantly evolving and progressing. We have an ever increasing to-do list of projects and things we want to add to our home. We made a priority list of the rooms we wanted to tackle first…

One of the most important rooms in our home has been overlooked for the two years we have lived here. Unfortunately, this is the room we are in the most… our home office/studio… We are really exciting about finally improving this space and making it more functional and more “us”.

Kevin and I have have put together a “must-have” list and some “wants” as well. Before beginning this office overhaul, I gathered up some photos from around the web we could use as inspiration for our own office… Let’s begin with that…

 Office 1: The thing that stroke us most about this office was the natural textures. We are “beachy” people, are entire home reflects that actually, so we would love to pull in some natural elements to our home office. We love the bright white cabinets, the fun desk chair and the lighting. The natural tan walls are a big plus too…

 Office 2: We love, love, love the dark stained desktop and the wood floors. It’s clean, crisp and bright! We really want to feel organized!!

 Office 3: Kevin and I both love this wooden desktop and the metal “legs”.  The other thing that we love about this photo was the overall “cheerful” and bright colors. We really want the space we work in to be bright and sunny!! We want the space to lend itself to being creative and encourage a joyful & positive!

 Office 4: I really want a space where I can put inspiration images, fabric samples, paint chips, magazine clippings, sketches & drawings. Since I am an interior designer, “my side” of the office needs to be geared towards what I do!!

 Office 5: I love the organization of this room. It’s modern and can lend itself to an office that can be shared by a gal or a guy {which we need}.

I am in the middle of planning our built-in desks & diy office project… We’ll be back with a full post on the “before’s”, the “plan” and then the “reveal”.
