We asked you awhile back if you all make your beds… now on the same subject… I was making our bed the other day and it made me think about you all. I know, I know…
Weird… OK let me explain. Kevin laughs at me because I prefer not to use our comforter when we go to bed. This is where it gets crazy…

Recently, we bought a new comforter and I explained to Kevin that we would fold down the bedding every night and use our white down comforter to get cozy & sleep with at night. I always recommend folding down nice comforters and using other blankets for sleeping because it really does allow you to keep your comforter longer. Kevin thinks it is silly… but we still follow the rule.
K: Why buy a comforter if we can’t use it?
L: Some things are better left to the {interior} designer babe.
K: It seems really silly… we can look at it but we can’t touch it? So it is totally for looks?
L: And if it is??

Ok. I am an interior designer…. Throw me a bone. Stupid or not. It is what it is. You can see from the picture above I may, or may nothave a slight obsession the decorative pillow for our bed.

What about you??? Do you use your comforter and nice shams? Are they for looks?? Do you have an enormous amount of ‘decorative pillows’ like I do?? Do Tell. Don’t be shy… spill it friends.

That is hilarious. Now I have to go and check this movie out… I would say I sleep with my comforter, but not with the few shams and decorative pillows… for looks only. Great post… very funny.

I too am a designer at heart, I have had no professional training (unless you count hours on end of HGTV) but it is my passion. I have 9 pillows on my bed and NO! We do not use the comforter when we sleep 🙂 I too have supplied a nice, cummfy, white down comforter for us to sleep cozy with! I thought this was the norm but I guess I’m finding out that I am amongst the “sillies” 🙂 My husband has learned to just do and not ask 🙂

We are so similar it’s funny! Kevin is the same now… he usually giggles to himself because he knows it will always be that way! I have exactly 9 pillows on our bed too… I am glad to find some ‘others’ out there with the same obession 😉
Oh I have beautiful shams and throw pillows…they just rarely make it to the bed! I’m more like Polly. Even though I have them, I just don’t really get it.
I try to make my bed everyday. We have custom bedding- but I just did the bed skirt and shams and use a cream coverlet that I can wash because we have 2 dogs and a new baby. I love it. It works for our family.
We love that scene! Almost every time we put the decorative pillows on, we laugh remembering that clip! I’ve heard recently that the pillow fluff may go away in favor of more sleek clean lines.
I love our fluffy white comforter and i think my sweetie seconds it. As for the pillows we have two standard pillows a piece and I keep two decorative one on when we aren’t in bed of course. I will admit though that when guest come I add more just for the look of it. But I do live by the rule if you cant use it don’t buy it. Example: I have beautiful stoneware but we eat off it daily seems to make me happy.

We do sleep with our comforter, but the shams are totally for looks! I am a total decorative pillow girl! I have 2 euro shams, 4 regular shams, and 4 decorative throw pillows….for a grand total of 10 pillow total! And to be honest…I would add more if I found some that I liked! 🙂 I heart pillows!!
