Blogiversary I: A Day in the Life of an Interior Design Blogger

Since I became a interior design blogger {in addition to being a locally practicing interior designer} I have had a ton of questions as what I do in a day. Well every day is different depending on what projects are dictating it, but here is a quick little ‘looksy’ into a typical day of blogging…

I thought it might be fun to show you a ‘typical’ day in the life of an interior design blogger during this years Blogiversary! Remember, I do offer interior design services locally, so the day below is a typical blogging day… not design day!

Our Blog: We design your interior & ours one story at a time!

Kevin wakes up, takes

Takes Bentley {who then sits & waits for me to wake up}

& Goes to the gym

Kevin makes coffee for me & gets to work

I leisurely wake up {yes, I am not a morning person},

Grab my cell phone to see the vast amount of email & comments awaiting my attention

Run downstairs & grab a cup of coffee & breakfast!

Quiet time reading my devotional,

Toss on clothes & walk upstairs to the office

Proofread the post for the day & upload any last photos.

The post of the day is officially posted {sometimes a little later depending},

I began responding to any & all comments

Begin emails by priority

Move onto any E-DÉCOR clients projects

Take Bentley “Boo Mouve” out on a short walk

Eat lunch & take care of any emails left

Occasionally we will catch a few minutes of news

Follow up with all E-Décor & Local Design Clients

Work on blog posts for the week

Complete any ‘projects’ around the home for posts

Time for fresh air & a bike ride or walk to the mailbox & around the neighborhood {While dinner is in oven}

Dinner Time!

TV/ Quality Time : Depending on the day, sometimes it is TV shows or a movie, sometimes right back upstairs to work if Kevin works late too!

A quick check on the blog on my cell

Go over my ‘to-do’ list for the next day!

BED! Bentley gets in his ‘house’ and we are off to sleep!

Now obviously, I take ‘field trips’ to Target, Thrift Stores, Home Decor Stores, Fabric Stores & Lowes from time to time too! It’s all in a days work!

I also thought you might be interested on how I make this blog work for me while also being a full time interior designer… I keep organized!

    This was a great post. It’s encouraging to see that people can have lives apart from their blogs and have enough time to keep up with their blogs.
